God is not finished with you yet, he is still putting your life in place just the way he planned it, so don’t worry! – Author unknown

Have you ever felt you have blown it and you are so disappointed with yourself? Well, I want to tell you the good news is that you are not the only one. God is not done with you. The truth is, in all your disappointments, failures and weaknesses, struggles and battles in your mind, we can still feel the true weight of God’s grace and love.

Perhaps you have been struggling with personal issues, heart trauma and difficult situations. Don’t despair as many in human history has done the same. If we look at Abraham, the father of faith – he lied. Elijah, one of the Bible’s greatest prophets, was suicidal. Moses was a murderer. Gideon was consistent fearful. Samson broke his covenant with God. Rahab was a prostitute. The Samaritan woman was a prostitute and still sleeping around. Noah got drunk. Jacob lied, over and over. Jonah rebelled against God’s call. Martha worried so much. Zacchaeus stole a lot of money from people. Paul killed Christians.

Let’s not even start with the disciples; they all had similar moments of failure. What comes straight to my mind is Peter, who walked with the Lord, sat at the Lords’ table and ate with him. Peter, when he was asked if he knew the Lord, denied it. We all struggle, fall and fail. We are all merely human.

Nothing can separate you from the love of Christ. No matter how low you may feel, Jesus can forgive you, restore you, and wants to still use you for his glory.

And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groaning that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Romans 8:26–28
