One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar. – Helen Keller

When the eagle stirs her nest, there is not much space left for the eaglet. Sometimes we just get too comfortable; we tend to make excuses for not doing anymore or being anymore. There are those people that are stubborn, who do not want to grow, or won’t change. We place a wall of survival around the nest.

There comes a time in your life that the same God who built your nest, says to you, it’s time for eviction; time to let go of your comfort zone. Because we were made to fly, God will stir up our nest. We weren’t made to languish in the comfortable surroundings of our nest-like world. We are created in the image of God, made to fly and in so doing train our young to do the same.

The Lord would want to push us out of our nest. Things that used to be, is not okay anymore. It becomes my perception, my ideas, and my ways. Let us reach out for something new and get beyond the nest we have been in for so long.

Fly with people who are all stirred up for God. You are created to move in boldness and courage, standing and believing there is more to you than what the eye can see. Take that leap of faith and believe for the impossible. The eagle’s flight teaches us how to soar and not just fly. Just as an eagle needs the assistance of air currents and winds to maintain altitude, we need God’s help to continue soaring. With the wind of his Spirit in us, and the warmth of his love surrounding us, we can rise above any problem.

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall, but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles … Isaiah 40:30–31
