The precious promise of God’s word is a light unto our path. – Lailah Gifty Akita

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and it illuminates every part of my path. Let his Word lead and guide your steps. Let his Word shield your borders. Let his Word lead and direct your footsteps. Let his Word shine on your next steps.

Before you pursue that opportunity, before you make your next move, choose to let his Word guide your next decision. Not every opportunity is a God-given assignment. There is a difference between a “good” opportunity and a God-given assignment. Let his Word lead your steps.

Allow his Word to guide your next steps. Let his Word guide your long- term vision. Choose to let his Word become the framework of your life. Let his Word light your path. Apply his Word to every area of your life. Let his Word lead and heal your heart. Let his Word become your life’s blueprint. Choose to follow his way.

Let it direct me in all my doubts and difficulties, and to comfort me in all my fears and distresses. It shows me the way wherein I should go, both night and day. The word of God directs us in our work and way, and a dark place indeed the world would be without it. The commandment is a lamp kept burning with the oil of the Spirit, as a light to direct us in the choice of our way, and the steps we take in that way.

It means that the road is crooked and God in his infinite power will work it out so that he will straighten it out. He will lay it out for you and it’s talking about every situation. God just does not guide us in certain things and don’t guide us in other things. God guides us in all things when we trust in him, when we lean not to our own understanding, when we acknowledge that he is our Lord, he is our Saviour and then he will guide our footsteps.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalms 119:105
