Everything big starts with something small. Nothing great is created suddenly. Nothing can be done except little by little. Within a little thing lies a big opportunity. Small things make a big difference, therefore, do all that it takes to be successful in those little things.
To me, staying “faithful in the small things” means doing the best we can with the responsibilities and opportunities that are on our plate at any given time. Otherwise without faith it becomes very difficult to keep pushing forward each day.
The impossible many times are simply those things which are untried. You will never do great things if you can’t do small things in a great way. All difficult things have their beginning in that which is easy, and great things in that which is small.
The courage to begin is the same courage it takes to succeed. This is the courage that usually separates dreamers from achievers! Remember, the beginning is the most important part of any endeavour. Never be afraid to try anything, so do something. Begin and take that first step, even though it is the hardest. You can do it.
Don’t be discouraged, for the little steps all add up and eventually before you know it you are on your way. Dare to begin. You don’t know what you can do until you have tried. In all these small beginnings is the way to gain, maintain, and demonstrate the strength needed to accomplish something great.
You have been faithful in handling the small amount so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Begin the joyous tasks I have assigned to you. Matthew 25:21
