Linda Colleen Saunders, affectionately known as Colleen, is a lifelong resident of Cape Town, South Africa. Her weekends are often spent hiking amidst the picturesque landscapes of the Western Cape, either with local hiking clubs or in the company of her loyal canine companion. Colleen’s professional journey has encompassed diverse roles, from commercial artistry and high school teaching to community and organisational development. Her deep-rooted faith is exemplified through her passion for advocating the rights of the oppressed and marginalised, as well as her unwavering commitment to Bible study and prayer. Colleen’s mission is to empower individuals to realise their fullest potential, echoing the Message translation of Matthew 11:5b, “that the wretched of the earth learn that God is on their side.”
Beyond her career, Colleen has authored training materials for NGOs and community organisations and has seen her poetry and short stories published. While she has embarked on various literary endeavours, “Speaking Power to Truth” marks Colleen’s debut full-length book, a testament to her unswerving devotion to her faith, activism, and the pursuit of positive change.
