Without a solid foundation, you’ll have trouble creating anything of value. – Unknown

You can’t build a great building on a weak foundation. You must have a solid foundation if you’re going to have a strong superstructure. The important thing is that you’ve got a strong foundation before you start to try to save the world or help other people.

Foundations are most important; not just building a house but the foundations in our own lives, our family, our careers and community.

A foundation is an underlying basis or principle, permanent support; prepared ground where a structure rest. The foundation is putting into practice which matters for our lives – those Jesus says is wise; but those who don’t is like a foolish man. You need to lay your faith, your values and beliefs in the firm foundation of Jesus Christ who is our Rock.

What are values: values reflect a person’s sense of right and wrongs, honesty, good character. You need God as the base of your marriage. We need to have love for one another. We need to put God first in our lives.

“Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts then into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand” (Matthew 7:24–27).

If we have cracks in our foundation, we need to pray and ask God for forgiveness. We need to be humble and pray and seek the Lord.

Unless the Lord builds the house; the labours build in vain. Psalm 121:1
