Fear is a self-imposed prison that will keep you from becoming what God intends for you to be. You must move against it with the weapons of faith and love. – Rick Warren

God has assigned you right at the place where you are, for such a time as this. There is something you are doing for God that no one else can do, that only you can fill.

You are a key player in God’s plan, that special person that God has positioned to encourage and uplift people around you. Know also where there are children of God, there are also enemies of God. For the eyes of the Lord move to and from throughout the earth that he may strongly support those whose heart is completely his.

Where you are and what you are doing matters greatly because it shows what is in your heart. Job 36:22, “O God, you are awesome from your sanctuary. The God of Israel himself gives strength and power to the people.”

Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest and you will find rest for your souls.” In other words, the Lord is saying, bring me your fears, worry, doubt and rest in me. He offers you his courage and refuge, his peace and his presence.

Stop, take a breath and look around. See the hand of God leading you and orchestrating the events around you, for such a time as this. Psalm 91 speaks of “The Lord is your refuge, a stronghold in these times, a place to run to for safety, where you can rest, have peace and hope from the fears of life.” How very little can be done under the spirit of fear.

For the Lord has not given you a spirit of fear, but love, power and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7
