Why do we pray? How can we pray? Christian spirituality is in essence about our relationship with God. Fundamental to this relationship is prayer. The church at prayer was the founding concern of Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu when, in 1986, he brought Francis Cull to Cape Town to establish what is known today as the Centre for Christian Spirituality. This publication gathers a host of reflections from many diverse participants in the activities of the Centre since its inception. It bears testimony to lives that have been changed and enriched by the practice of prayer.
